TL;DR
NetLens is an Android app that surveys Wifi coverage. You can use it for free with banner ads in the analyze view and a small watermark on exported PDF and PNG files. The optional one-time ad-free in-app purchase removes both. The app itself is identical either way. The app is provided as-is - we don't guarantee Wifi survey accuracy and we're not liable for decisions you make based on the results.
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Google Play under their refund policy - not by us directly.
1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using the NetLens mobile application ("the App") - distributed via the Google Play Store under the application identifier com.netlens - you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the App.
"We", "us", and "our" refer to DopamineFixx, the publisher of the App. "You" refers to the individual using the App.
2. License grant
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Android devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.
You may not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except where this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Redistribute, sublicense, resell, or commercially exploit the App or its components.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notice in the App.
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable law or the terms of any wireless network you survey.
3. In-app purchases
3.1 Ad-free in-app purchase
The App offers a one-time in-app purchase that removes banner ads and removes the watermark from exported PDF and PNG reports. All capture, analysis, and export functionality is free and unconditional; the purchase changes only the ad and watermark behavior. No feature is gated behind it.
3.2 Billing
All in-app purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not handle your payment information directly. Pricing is shown in your local currency at purchase time and is subject to applicable taxes.
3.3 Refunds
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Google Play under their refund policy. To request a refund, contact Google Play support. We do not issue refunds directly.
3.4 Restoring purchases
The ad-free entitlement is tied to your Google account and does not transfer between Google accounts. Reinstalling the App or installing it on another device signed into the same account restores your purchase automatically via Google Play Billing.
4. Advertising
The free version of the App displays banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your advertising ID and IP address for ad delivery. See our Privacy Policy for details. The one-time ad-free in-app purchase removes all advertising.
5. Acceptable use
The App passively scans Wifi networks that are visible to your device's radio and reads state for the network your device is already connected to (for the live Signal Meter and Connection tools). The App does not initiate connections to networks you are not already connected to, and does not authenticate against any network. You agree to use the App only on networks you own, networks you have permission to survey, or networks made publicly observable by their operators.
You are responsible for complying with applicable laws regarding wireless network observation in your jurisdiction.
6. No warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy of results.
Wifi signal strength readings depend on your device's wireless radio, the environment, and many factors outside our control. NetLens does not guarantee that survey results, heatmaps, or coverage maps will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose - including but not limited to network planning, equipment placement, or commercial site surveys.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall DopamineFixx, its officers, contributors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill arising from or related to your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. Third-party services
The App integrates the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob (free version only) - banner advertising.
- Google Play Billing - in-app purchases.
- Google ARCore - visual-inertial tracking for spatial mapping.
Your use of these services is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services.
9. Updates
We may release updates to the App at any time. Some updates may add, change, or remove features. We are not obligated to continue offering or supporting any specific feature, including features that existed at the time you installed the App.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your license to use the App if you breach these Terms. On termination, the license granted in Section 2 ends; sections 6, 7, 11, and 12 survive termination.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted in the App's release notes or via an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
